About Paul Mourant

NAMIR Paul Mourant is a professional member of the National Association of Musical Instrument Repairers (NAMIR) having trained under Trevor Head at the Malden School of Musical Instrument Repair in Llangunllo.

With 30+ years spent as a professional trumpet player in London and the Midlands and as a brass teacher in public and private sector schools and music services Paul can call on a wealth of experience in the brass world and reckons to have seen most aspects of the music business from a wide variety of angles.

As a player and a teacher he therefore understands the need to get your instrument back in your hands in good condition with all possible speed and thorough attention to detail. The feel of the instrument to the player can make all the difference to their confidence and to their pride in their performance.

Thank you for repairing my crumpled Conn88H. I was worried how well it could be repaired, but am very happy with the result. Overhaul is great - slide action improved, valve in much better condition. Done in excellent time, at a very reasonable price

Thanks for sorting the Trombone out so quickly! I am really impressed with your work on the bell & in removing dents, freeing tuning slides, sorting the slide & fixing joints – brilliant job. I will certainly be passing on your details to colleagues.

My trumpet is blowing beautifully since you serviced it, the valves have never been better.

Thanks for your excellent work on my trumpet, Paul - it is amazing how much better you feel about an instrument that is not bent. Valves [are] good [now], too!
